MEGABEARD RECORDS Step In!
With impending winter electric bills rolling our way it's fortunate that a sidewalk conversation turned into a new addition to the Cold Coffee space. Not only will we house our digital media services and very cool art gallery...but now a record label! YES!. Avery Hook and Jeff Grammer will be rocking the studio in our darker hours. With the release of a new "MIXER" the duo not only needs a place to rehearse for the upcoming release show ( Thursday, October 23rd 8:00 @ Ten Depot in La Grande) but will also be setting up their recording studio to keep there music coming as well as integrating with other local artists in the area to perpetuate a musically revolution here in the Grande Ronde Valley.
Megabeard has worked with Test Audiences, Sons of Guns, Shaun Daniel... and Black Bottle Trio just to name a few. They recently performed at "Crawlspace 3" hosted by Test Audiences at Waypoint Studio .... (we are all a little inbred) - for as you know Waypoint Studio is a partner in Satellite Gallery.
Anyway, enough mumbling... we are stoked to have MEGABEARD working in our space - their creativity and drive will be a welcome energy... not too mention a little help with the winter electric bill.

Jeff and Avery announced this event @ 10 Depot Street in an e-mail to me last week. They were looking for a name to call their collective partnership (apparently, they don't think their beards are Megabeards these days, or they want to spotlight a distinction of the duo as live musical performers. I suggested "Budding Ambulance Chasers", as I'm sure the two of them would spring into action to keep in tip-top physical condition. I'm sure the proximity of the new fire station to their studios/Crawlspace is a love/hate relationship...on the other hand, when sirens blare, you don't want to be deep into a serious recording session...
