The Dollar! My morning Query!

I woke up listening to OPB this morning - tuning in on the big economic crisis and if was pretty overwhelming.  I started to think about money and what it was to me - and the idea behind its power... so I googled "what is money?" and I came across a film: kind of made my morning - some very interesting philosophy and views - I recommend watching the movie just after you wake up.

MEGABEARD RECORDS Step In!

With impending winter electric bills rolling our way it's fortunate that a sidewalk conversation turned into a new addition to the Cold Coffee space. Not only will we house our digital media services and very cool art gallery...but now a record label! YES!. Avery Hook and Jeff Grammer will be rocking the studio in our darker hours.  With the release of a new "MIXER" the duo not only needs a place to rehearse for the upcoming release show ( Thursday, October 23rd 8:00 @ Ten Depot in La Grande) but will also be setting up their recording studio to keep there music coming as well as integrating with other local artists in the area to perpetuate a musically revolution here in the Grande Ronde Valley.

Megabeard has worked with Test Audiences, Sons of Guns, Shaun Daniel... and Black Bottle Trio just to name a few.  They recently performed at "Crawlspace 3" hosted by Test Audiences at Waypoint Studio .... (we are all a little inbred) - for as you know Waypoint Studio is a partner in Satellite Gallery.

Anyway, enough mumbling... we are stoked to have MEGABEARD working in our space - their creativity and drive will be a welcome energy... not too mention a little help with the winter electric bill.

"RECENT WORK" - Art Opening at Satellite Gallery

Satellite Gallery is pleased to bring you another ART opening. Please join us Friday, October 3rd from 6-9pm to see the work of Ian Clark, Charlie Koehler, and Lisa Greif. The show will run through Thursday October 30th. The artists will be present tomorrow and we encourage your presence and feedback. Refreshments will be available.
